Call for partner schools for 2024

HBISP  is currently developing a programme of educational visits to the UK for primary school year 6 and secondary years 7 and 8. These will be during Summer 2024, allowing students to experience the best of a region's culture and history.  These will be based around UNESCO's World Heritage Sites including the Black Country Geopark.

The 'Black Country' was at the heart of the Industrial Revolution of the eighteenth century. The name is said to derive from the blackened and scarred landscape which resulted from the intensive exploitation of its natural mineral wealth. Ironbridge Gorge was the Birthplace of this revolution, the place where Abraham Darby transformed iron smelting and built the world's first cast-iron bridge.
